• 2011 - Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence Recognition The Elkhart General Hospital Breast Care Center was recognized as a Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence, Certification Level III – the highest certification level awarded by the National Consortium of Breast Centers National Quality Measures for Breast Centers™ Program (NQMBC™). In addition to meeting the highest set of certification criteria, the Breast Care Center supplied 90 percent of the measures for which their quality breast center type should be able to measure performance and performed above the 25th percentile.
• 2011 - Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) The Elkhart General Hospital Breast Care Center was awarded the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) designation by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The Breast Imaging Center of Excellence designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that achieve excellence by seeking and earning accreditation in all of the ACR’s voluntary breast imaging accreditation programs and modules, in addition to the mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program. The ACR acknowledges Elkhart General’s dedication to improving women’s health by participating in these rigorous quality assurance programs. The ACR is the leader in quality programs for breast imaging. The Elkhart General Hospital Breast Care Center is currently 1 of 16 facilities in Indiana to achieve this distinction and the only facility in Elkhart County.
• 2011 - American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award is presented to Elkhart General’s Regional Center for Cancer Services for the third consecutive time, the only cancer program in Northern Indiana to be so honored. This award represents more than five years of sustained excellence in cancer care.

• 2010 - The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons has awarded a Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation to the Regional Center for Cancer Services at Elkhart General Hospital.

• 2004 - American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award. Elkhart General’s Regional Center for Cancer Services is one of only 34 cancer programs in the entire country to earn the award. Only 7% of the total programs surveyed by the Commission were selected. 
• 2004 – HR Solutions, Inc. Second Highest Overall Job Satisfaction Score – 87%. 19% higher than the Indiana health care norm. Top 7% nationally.
