Talk on Osteoporosis and Bone Density Screenings to be Offered at the Farmers Market

ELKHART, IN - Elkhart General is offering a free public seminar titled “Your Bone Health: The Prevention of Osteoporosis and Fracture” at 10:00am on Friday, October 16. The seminar will be held at the Healthy Lifestyle Corner on the 2nd Floor of the American Countryside Farmers Market in Elkhart

Genevieve Lankowicz, MD, CCD, Medical Director for the Elkhart General Regional Center for Bone Health, will discuss healthy lifestyle choices for bone health, including dietary factors and activity recommendations. She will also review the risk factors and appropriate screenings for osteoporosis and provide ways to reduce fracture risk for patients with low bone mass.

At the conclusion of the presentation, Dr. Lankowicz and staff will provide FREE Bone Density Screenings to all attendees. These 5-minute screenings are first come, first served. There will also be a drawing for a FREE One-Hour Massage from Elkhart General Integrative Medicine.
