Open House Planned for Bittersweet Medical Associates

GRANGER, IN – Bittersweet Medical Associates will host a free Community Open House on Saturday, November 7, from 8:30-11:00am. The event will take place at the new office building at 12340 Bittersweet Commons Boulevard East, located just east of the intersection of Bittersweet Road and SR 23 in Granger.

"We're very excited about the opening of our new facility and the opportunity it will allow for us to provide more convenient, personalized service to one of the fastest growing areas in Michiana” said Mark Schmeltz, D.O., board-certified family physician from Bittersweet Medical Associates. "We’re looking forward to welcoming the community at our open house and giving them personal tours of our beautiful facility."

Area residents will have the opportunity to tour the new facility and meet Dr. Schmeltz and the medical staff. Additionally, attendees will enjoy door prizes from local businesses, refreshments, mini-massages and free health screenings. Health screenings include non-fasting cholesterol, non-fasting blood glucose, body fat, and blood pressure screenings.

The Bittersweet Medical Associates office opened and began seeing patients on September 21, 2009. The 4,318-square foot facility includes six exam rooms, two procedure rooms, special osteopathic exam tables for myofascial soft tissue treatments, a large waiting room, reception area, and physician and staff offices. It’s equipped with the latest innovative technology in Electronic Medical Records and is designed to offer patients a beautiful, harmonious environment.

About Mark Schmeltz, D.O.

Mark Schmeltz, D.O. is board certified in Family Medicine. He earned his degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pennsylvania and completed his residency at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
