Medications Topic of October Diabetes Support Group

ELKHART, IN – The Elkhart General Hospital Diabetes Support Group presents “An Update on Diabetes Medications” on Thursday, October 7 at 7:00pm in Auditorium B in the Elkhart General Hospital West Wing.

Join Parkview LaGrange Hospital Registered Pharmacist, Chittaranjan Patel, R.Ph., as he shares his experience and challenges as a diabetic and his knowledge as a pharmacist. He will discuss the diabetic medications available for achieving glycemic control. Participants will learn about the many incretin hormones and insulin, how they work and why they are important.

The Elkhart General Diabetes Support Group gives patients and families dealing with diabetes continuing peer support. Monthly meetings feature a variety of topics related to diabetes presented by experts in the healthcare field. The Diabetes Support Group meets the first Thursday of every month in Elkhart General Hospital Auditorium B.
