Heart Failure Topic at Farmers Market

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General Hospital is offering a free public seminar titled “Increasing Heart Function After Some Damage is Done” on Thursday, June 24 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm in the Elkhart General Healthy Lifestyle Corner on the 2nd floor of the American Countryside Farmers Market in Elkhart.
Join Liz Winet, FNP-bc, MSN, MBA, Manager of the Elkhart General Hospital Heart Failure Clinic and New Directions Wellness Clinic, as she discusses the basic anatomy and physiology of heart failure and its prevalence in the United States. Participants will leave with a means to prevent or slow the progression of heart failure, an understanding of heart healthy diet and exercise as well as the knowledge of the role of key medications to protect your heart.
