Hearing Loss Topic of Discussion at Farmers Market

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General Hospital is offering a free public seminar titled “Can You Hear Me Now?” on Thursday, July 8 from 10:00am – 11:00am in the Elkhart General Healthy Lifestyle Corner on the 2nd floor of the American Countryside Farmers Market in Elkhart.

Join Board Certified Audiologist, Sharon Hirstein, MA, as she discusses the anatomy of hearing loss and reviews treatment options. Participants will learn why both sound detection and speech are necessary for successful communication. The difference between a “free” hearing test and a diagnostic evaluation will also be addressed.
