Health Luncheon on Heart Health to be Held at Elkhart General

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General Hospital is hosting a Health Luncheon on Tuesday, February 23 from 11:30am – 1:00pm in Auditorium A at Elkhart General Hospital. A nutritious lunch will begin at 11:30am, followed by a presentation on “Heart Health and Action: You Could Save a Life!” at 12:00pm.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Learn how to minimize your risks and possibly save the life of another during Elkhart General Hospital’s Health Luncheon. Join Walter H. Halloran, MD, Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon and founder of HeartReach Michiana, Troy Pflugner, Certified AED Specialist of Cardiac Science Corporation and Vice Chairperson of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association; and Twig Hemenway, RN, CNOR, as they discuss and define sudden cardiac arrest and heart disease. Information will be presented on HeartReach Michiana, a local non-profit, charitable organization responsible for the distribution of hundreds of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in the Michiana area. You will also learn how to properly use an AED.
