Free Osteoporosis Screenings at Elkhart General Hospital
June 7, 2010
ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General Hospital is offering free osteoporosis screenings on Wednesday, June 23 from 9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:00pm in the West Wing Lobby, by the Lawn Avenue Entrance of Elkhart General Hospital.
Early detection is the key to preventing osteoporosis. Assess your risk by joining the staff from the Elkhart General Regional Center for Bone Health, as they conduct bone density screenings. Those who would benefit include women older than 40 years of age who have never had a central bone density scan as well as men over the age of 40 who may have had a fragility fracture, long term steroid use, or the use of anti seizure medications.
No registration is required. Screenings are first come, first served. Parking is available in the Lawn Avenue Entrance parking lot. For more information, please contact Elkhart General Community Relations at (574) 523-3303 or visit www.egh.org.
