Eye Care Topic of Spanish Diabetes Support Group

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General Hospital and Dame Tu Mano will present “Diabetes and Your Eyes” at a Spanish Diabetes Support Group on Monday, September 20 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm at the Heart City Health Center located at 236 Simpson Avenue in Elkhart.

High blood sugar levels from diabetes can cause a number of problems with your eyes. Elkhart General Hospital Diabetes Educator, Cheryl Brandt, MS, RD, CD, CDE, will review what you can do to help prevent eye problems and keep your eyes healthy.

The Spanish Diabetes Support Group is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary and walk-ins are welcome. For more information, call Dame Tu Mano at (574) 524-7517.
