Elkhart General Welcomes Neurosurgeons to Medical Staff

ELKHART, IN – The physicians of North Central Neurosurgery have joined the Elkhart General Hospital Medical Staff and are accepting spinal surgery patients.

Thomas Keucher, MD earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and served as a resident in neurological surgery at the IU School of Medicine. He is board certified in Neurological Surgery.

Robert Yount, MD earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in biophysics at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he also served his residency in neurological surgery. He is board certified in Neurological Surgery.

Walter Langheinrich, MD earned his medical degree, completed his surgical internship and neurosurgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is board certified in Neurological Surgery.

David Cockerill, MD earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in general surgery and neurosurgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is board certified in Neurological Surgery.

Stephen Smith, MD earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Kansas. He completed his subspecialty fellowship training in spinal surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Department. He is board eligible in Neurological Surgery.
