Elkhart General Offers Six-Week Arthritis Course

ELKHART, IN - Elkhart General Hospital and The Arthritis Foundation will offer a six week self-help class in the Healthy Lifestyle Corner on the 2nd floor of the American Countryside Farmers Market in Elkhart beginning Friday, February 5 from 1-3pm. This unique six week program was developed for people with arthritis and related conditions.

Through engaging group discussion and easy-to-understand course materials, participants will learn the basics of joint anatomy and protection, the importance of exercise and nutrition, and how to take medications properly. Participants will also learn about self-help devices that can enhance daily activities. The informal, small group setting allows participants to ask questions and each class offers tips and techniques that can be used immediately to better manage the condition.

Class fee is $20 which includes course materials. Classes will be held for six consecutive Fridays and is limited to 10 participants. To register, call (574) 523-3303.
