Elkhart General Offers Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services is offering a two-day Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course on Thursday, February 25 and Friday, February 26 from 8:00am – 5:30pm at the Elkhart General Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd. in Goshen.

The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to provide the healthcare provider with:

  • Information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest 
  • Information and strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children 
  • The cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest

This program is designed for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and advanced level EMS providers responsible for emergency cardiac care.
