Elkhart General Offers Healthcare Provider CPR Courses

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services is offering Healthcare Provider CPR Courses on the following days from 8:00am – 12:00pm: Wednesday, April 14; Saturday, April 17 and Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Elkhart General Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd. next to Lowe’s on US 33 in Goshen.

The Healthcare Provider CPR Course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals but is also open to the public that are looking for a more in-depth CPR course. Topics and demonstrations that will be covered are:

• Chain of survival 
• Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke 
• Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) in adults and children 
• Utilization of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) 
• Utilization of a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM) 
• Adult CPR 
• Infant & Child CPR
