Elkhart General Offers Healthcare Provider CPR Courses

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services is offering Healthcare Provider CPR Courses on the following days from 8:00am – 12:00pm; Wednesday, February 10, Monday, February 15 and Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Elkhart General Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd. in Goshen.

The Healthcare Provider CPR Course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals but is also open to the public that is looking for a more in-depth CPR course. Topics and demonstrations that will be covered are:

  • Chain of survival 
  • Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke 
  • Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) in adults and children 
  • Utilization of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) 
  • Utilization of a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM) 
  • Adult CPR 
  • Infant & Child CPR

If you are ready to learn how to respond quickly, appropriately, and professionally to all types of medical emergencies, call (574) 523-3314 or (574) 523-3291 to register. Registration deadline is one week prior to the start of each class. $50 registration fee includes course book. A course completion card will be given at the end of the class.
