Elkhart General Offers CPR Recertification Courses

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services is offering CPR Recertification Courses on Wednesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 25, 2010 from 8:00am – 11:00am or 12:00pm – 3:00pm at the Elkhart General Health Education Center located at 2222 Rieth Blvd. in Goshen.

The CPR Recertification Course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals that are looking to update their certification. Topics and demonstrations that will be covered are:

  • Chain of survival 
  • Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke 
  • Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) in adults and children 
  • Utilization of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) 
  • Utilization of a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM) 
  • Adult CPR 
  • Infant & Child CPR
