Elkhart General Hospital to Hold Seminar on Epigenetics

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General Hospital will hold a free seminar titled “Your Active Genes are Not the Luck of the Draw: Epigenetics Trumps Heredity” on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Prenatal Classroom located in the Elkhart General Hospital West Wing.

The new field of epigenetics is showing how environment and personal choices can influence genetic code, which includes the foods you eat. Join Liz Winet, FNP-bc, MSN, MBA, Manager of the New Directions Wellness Clinic as she reveals the science of epigenetics and how your choices determine gene expression and ultimately your health.
