Elkhart General Hospital Receives Indiana Organ Procurement Organization Silver Recognition Award

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General Hospital recently received the 2010 Indiana Organ Procurement Organization (IOPO) Silver Collaborative Hospital Recognition Award. 

IOPO recognizes the success of hospitals that have a minimum of one eligible donor per year. Elkhart General Hospital received 8 out of the 9 maximum points for actual organ and tissue donation. The points are based on the number of organ donations, organ referral rate and organ and tissue conversion rate. Elkhart General is one of 13 hospitals in the state of Indiana to receive this award.
