Elkhart General Hospital Hosts Cancer Survivors Forum

ELKHART – Cancer patients will have an opportunity to better understand and cope with the disease by attending the Elkhart General Hospital Regional Center for Cancer Services Cancer Survivors Forum. Guest speakers include physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals who specialize in cancer treatment.

The two sessions will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 and Thursday, March 17 in Auditorium B in the Elkhart General West Wing.

The March 10 session is comprised of a panel of physicians to answer questions regarding their specific role in the treatment of cancer.

  • Brion Shin, MD, Radiation Oncology
  • Kelly Puster, MD, FACS, General Surgery 
  • Jose Bufill, MD, FACP, Medical Oncology 
  • Jennifer Ewing, RN, MSN, NP-C, Medical Oncology

The March 17 session consists of a panel of healthcare professionals who provide supportive care:

  • Roger Hershberger, MSW, ACSW, LCSW, Oncology Care Coordinator 
  • Pam Green, RN, Oncology Care Coordinator 
  • Heather Borsa, RD, CSO, CD, Clinical Oncology Dietitian 
  • Loretta Salchert, Executive Director of Ribbon of Hope Cancer Support Ministry

There is no charge to attend the Cancer Survivors Forum.
