Elkhart General Hospital Foundation Accepting Scholarship Applications

ELKHART, IN – The Elkhart General Hospital Foundation will be providing scholarships to applicants for full or part-time study in the medical field.

Individuals pursuing a professional degree in the medical field are encouraged to apply. The scholarships range from $1,000 to $6,000 and there will be a work commitment required after graduation dependent on the amount of money received.

The following is a list of the criteria that must be satisfied before an appointment will be scheduled for consideration of scholarship funds:

• Completed application
• Two letters of recommendation from employer; or teacher, if still in school
• Letter of acceptance/proof of enrollment from the school applicant will be attending
• A list of the course(s) applicant will need to complete the program/degree
• Total cost of the program/degree, including cost per credit hour, books, and lab fees. Housing should not be included in total cost
• Transcripts from the last school applicant attended
• An essay describing the reasons the applicant has chosen this field of study
