Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services Offers Healthcare Provider CPR Courses

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services is offering Healthcare Provider CPR Courses from 8:00am – 12:00pm on the following days: Wednesday, October 13, Monday, October 18 and Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Elkhart General Hospital Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd., next to the Lowe’s on US 33 in Goshen.

The Healthcare Provider CPR Course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals but is also open to the public that are looking for a more in-depth CPR course. Students will be instructed on:

• Chain of survival 
• Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke 
• Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) in adults and children 
• Utilization of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) 
• Utilization of a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM) 
• Adult CPR 
• Infant & Child CPR
