Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services Offers Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services is offering an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22, from 8:00am – 5:30pm at the Elkhart General Hospital Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd., next to the Lowe’s on US 33 in Goshen.

The ACLS Course is a two day course designed to provide each participant the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage an adult cardiac arrest and other acute cardiopulmonary emergencies by integrating critical BLS skills with ACLS interventions. Team interaction and effective communication are emphasized through simulated clinical scenarios and hands-on learning stations involving the ten ACLS core cases and treatment algorithms. This program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, advanced level EMS providers, and any healthcare provider responsible for emergency cardiac care.
