Elkhart General Hospital Center to Host 2nd Annual Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Open House

ELKHART, IN. – Elkhart General Hospital will host their 2nd annual “The Heart of the Matter: Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention Open House” on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Elkhart General Hospital West Wing.

In honor of American Heart Month, join Elkhart General Hospital’s award winning Center for Cardiac Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery of Northern Indiana, HeartReach Michiana; North Central Cardiovascular Specialists; Elkhart Cardiology; South Bend Medical Foundation and other heart specialists, as they provide numerous educational opportunities, seminars and hands-on activities that will improve your heart health. Free screenings including non-fasting cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, and Body Mass Index will be available. After your screenings, you will also have an opportunity to review your test results with physicians and clinicians who specialize in heart care. Door prizes and heart healthy refreshments will be provided. Free carotid artery and peripheral artery disease screenings will be conducted on a registration-only basis (some restrictions apply).
