Elkhart General Hospital and HeartReach Michiana Offer Free CPR Classes

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Hospital and HeartReach Michiana are partnering to provide free AED/CPR certification on Saturday, November 6 from 9:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Check-in will begin thirty minutes prior to the start of the class. Classes will be held at the Elkhart General Hospital Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd., next to Lowe’s on US33 in Goshen.

This class targets Emergency Medical First Responders, people who would be responding to emergencies in the workplace. Students will be instructed on:

  • Chain of survival 
  • Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke 
  • Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBOA) in adults and children 
  • Utilization of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) 
  • Adult CPR 
  • Infant and Child CPR
