EGH Honors Board Members and Physicians

ELKHART-Elkhart General Hospital recently honored members of the Community Board of Directors and longtime physicians. A 17-member Board of Directors, who serve without pay, guides the System in its mission to provide high quality, affordable health care to the community it serves. The Board’s role includes guaranteeing fair and equal access, approving new medical staff members, and approving long-term strategies for the continued success of the Hospital.

From right to left, Physicians honored for 25 years on the Elkhart General Medical Staff included Timothy Porsche, MD; Thomas Kolakovich, MD; and Christian Losch, III, MD. EGH President Greg Lintjer thanked the physicians for their many years of patient care and support of the Hospital.

Elkhart General is an independent, not-for-profit hospital governed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers drawn from the community. The Elkhart General Medical Staff is comprised of nearly 300 physicians representing 37 medical specialties. Over 2,000 employees serve in nursing, technical, administrative, and support capacities. Our full-service, 365-bed main hospital serves more than 18,500 patients a month.
