Dentist to Present at Diabetes Support Group

ELKHART – The Elkhart General Hospital Diabetes Support Group will present “Diabetes and Dental Disease” on Thursday, May 5 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Auditorium B in the Elkhart General West Wing.

Did you know people with diabetes are more prone to conditions that may harm their oral health? Dr. William Flora from Greenleaf Family Dentistry will discuss the various dental problems related to diabetes, the treatment options available, and some day-to-day dental healthcare tips.

The Elkhart General Hospital Diabetes Support Group gives adults with diabetes and their families and friends continuing peer support. Monthly meetings feature a variety of topics related to diabetes presented by experts in the healthcare field. The Diabetes Support Group meets the first Thursday of every month in the Elkhart General Hospital Auditorium B, and the second Friday of the month in the Elkhart General Hospital Prenatal Classroom.
