CPR Recertification Courses Offered by Elkhart General

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services is offering CPR Recertification Courses on the following days from 8:00am – 11:00am or 12:00pm – 3:00pm; Wednesday, May 19 or Thursday, May 27 at the Elkhart General Health Education Center located at 2222 Rieth Blvd., next to Lowe’s on US 33 in Goshen.

The Healthcare Provider CPR Course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals, but is also open to people that are looking to update their certification. Topics and demonstrations that will be covered are:

• Chain of survival 
• Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke 
• Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) in adults and children 
• Utilization of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) 
• Utilization of a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM) 
• Adult CPR 
• Infant & Child CPR
