Cardiologist Troy Weirick, M.D. Joins Elkhart General Hospital Medical Staff

ELKHART, IN – Troy Weirick, MD has joined the Elkhart General Hospital Medical Staff. He earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. After completing an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Kentucky, Dr. Weirick served a Cardiology Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Texas. He was the recipient of the American Heart Association Research Grant, the Illinois State University Graduate Research Grant and was named Outstanding Teaching Resident in Internal Medicine in 2004 by the University of Kentucky.

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Weirick's professional memberships and activities include the Residency Curriculum Committee for the University of Kentucky, Fellow-in-Training delegate to the American College of Cardiology Quality Programs Subcommittee.

In addition, Dr. Weirick has authored multiple abstracts and articles regarding advanced treatment of heart attack and management of complex coronary artery disease.
