Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Open House at Elkhart General Hospital
September 30, 2011

ELKHART, IN – Join Elkhart General Hospital for an evening of fellowship and breast cancer information. “Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Open House: An Evening of Empowerment, Education and Camaraderie” will be held on Thursday, October 6, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in Auditorium B in the Elkhart General Hospital West Wing.

The chance that a woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime is one in eight. Early detection is key to survival and knowledge is power! Take the opportunity to learn about breast cancer and its prevention by joining Elkhart General Hospital physicians and clinicians as they provide information on the latest preventative methods and treatment options. A gift bag will be given to the first 100 attendees. One lucky winner will receive a free mammogram, courtesy of Elkhart General Hospital Radiology Department (some restrictions apply).   Stylists from The Beauty Shoppe, a full service hair salon, will offer pink hair extensions for a $10 donation. Part of the proceeds raised by selling the extensions will be donated to the Elkhart General Hospital Foundation Patient Oncology Fund. Free screenings and 10 minute chair massages will be offered. Delicious appetizers and drinks will be served. Participants will be given an opportunity to register for great door prizes!

This evening is free and open to the public. For more information, call 574-523-3303 or visit www.egh.org.
