Arthritis Awareness Day Held at Elkhart General Hospital

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General Hospital is hosting an Arthritis Awareness Day on Wednesday, November 17 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm in the Prenatal Classroom in the Elkhart General Hospital West Wing.
Join Orthopaedic Surgeon, J. Benjamin Smucker, MD, of OSMC at noon as he explains the two primary types of arthritis: Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. He will discuss the symptoms and review diagnosis and treatment options. At 1:00pm Elkhart General Hospital Physical Therapist Assistants, Alissa Whitmer, PTA, CLT and Kim Everingham, PTA, CLT will teach self-management skills for living with arthritis.
