Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Recertification Course Offered by Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services

GOSHEN, IN – Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services is offering an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Recertification Course on Thursday, March 18 from 8:00am – 5:30pm at the Elkhart General Health Education Center located at 2222 Rieth Blvd. in Goshen.

The ACLS Recertification Course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 6 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) cardiac arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: 

  • Respiratory Arrest 
  • VF/Pulseless VT with CPR and AED only 
  • VF/Pulseless VT 
  • Pulseless Electrical Activity 
  • Asystole 
  • Acute Coronary Syndrome 
  • Symptomatic Bradycardia 
  • Unstable Tachycardia 
  • Stable Tachycardia 
  • Acute Stroke

This program is designed for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and advanced level EMS providers responsible for emergency cardiac care who are in need of recertification.
