A Missing Piece of the Weight Management Puzzle

New technology is now available to help you answer a question that is absolutely essential in establishing personalized, sensible weight management goals:

“How fat am I and where is the fat located?”

This question is answered by the Body Fat Analysis (BFA) capability of the GE DEXA Lunar Prodigy DEXA System at the Elkhart General Women’s Health Center. It is far more precise than the standardized “recommended weight tables” that are stated in various ranges or indexes. It provides highly specific information that is unique to your body composition – how much of you is bone, muscle and fat. It also illustrates the distribution of fat in your body.

BFA is simple and fast, taking about 15 minutes. You simply lie down while fully clothed and the unit’s mobile arm passes above you, scanning your entire body. Within two weeks your analysis is reviewed by Board-Certified Internist, J.C. Sorg, MD, and a report is sent to your primary care physician. Or, if you so choose, you may take the printout from the analysis with you.
