At the Center for Behavioral Medicine we pride ourselves on offering the best psychiatric services to our community. Our expertise is to address the biological aspect of illness with ongoing medication management, as well as treat the psychological and spiritual aspect of mental illness. The following list serves as an introduction to our highly trained clinical staff that is committed to providing excellent care.

Dr. Jarvis is a Psychiatrist and Co-Medical Director of CBM. He is Board Certified in both General Psychiatry and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. He has 15 years of clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient care, working with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly.

Dr. Taylor is a Psychiatrist and Co-Medical Director of CBM. He is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who specializes in working with adults, including the elderly, across the spectrum of psychiatric disorders. He has 15 years of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Dr. Malik is a Board Certified Staff Psychiatrist at CBM. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a member of the American Board of Medical Specialists. Dr. Malik has experience working with adults of all ages. His expertise includes conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia.
Dr. Simons has over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families experiencing relationship issues, adjustment problems, anxiety, depression, anger issues, and grief/loss. Dr. Simons’ theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioral and he utilizes a collaborative solution-oriented approach in his work with clients. Dr. Simons also provides psychological assessments which can assist with diagnosis and treatment planning for psychiatric problems and medical conditions with psychological components. Available testing includes intellectual and neuropsychological screenings, adolescent and adult mental disorders and personality evaluations using standardized computer scored measures of psychopathology.
Terrance has almost 20 years of clinical experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. His work focuses on family systems, but he offers an integrative approach with a variety of psych-educational formats and theoretical orientations including, but not limited to cognitive-behavioral. Terrance specializes in working with couple counseling, and family issues where children and adolescents are the identified patients. He is open to working with all ages. Terrance currently moderates both GOTCHA groups.
Kathleen has 17 years of clinical out patient experience working with families and individuals of all ages across the range of psychiatric issues. She has experienced success helping individuals, families and couples gain the ability to live a healthy life. Kathleen also provides community psycho-education programs through EGH community education services.
Christine has 15 years experience working with children, families and adults. She uses an eclectic approach in therapy in order to assist her clients in overcoming the obstacles that keep them from moving forward in their lives and relationships. She has extensive training in working with sexual abuse victims and enjoys helping parents learn new strategies of relating to their children, as well as helping new mothers adjust.
Paul has 12 years of experience working with people of all ages as they attempt to overcome issues ranging from depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, to abuse issues. He uses research based therapeutic techniques to help his clients recognize and develop their strengths so they may work towards clear and understandable goals.
Jennifer has 7 years of clinical experience treating a wide range of clients in individual, family, and group settings. She especially enjoys helping children and adolescents work through behavioral and emotional issues. She has specialized training in working with victims of abuse, and in helping children with sexual behavior issues.
