Health Luncheon - Sodium: How To Decipher the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Elkhart General Hospital will host a Health Luncheon, "Sodium: How to Decipher the Good, the Bad and the Ugly," on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Auditorium B located in the Hospital West Wing.

Our bodies need sodium to help maintain water, mineral balances and blood volume. But too much of a good thing can have negative effects on your health. Join, Elkhart General Hospital Nurse Practitioner, Sarah McKay, MSN, FNP, as she uses current research to help you decipher what levels of sodium you need. Participants will learn how to read food labels and how to look for hidden sodium often found in foods. A light, healthy lunch will be served.

Registration is required by Wednesday, March 7, and is $10 per person. To register or for more information, visit www.egh.org or call 574-523-3303.

Fee: $10
