Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course
Are you a college student looking for a fun and exciting program in the medical field to fill your summer and add to your resume? If so, register for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course at Elkhart General. You will gain the concepts, information and skills you need to safely assess and treat patients in pre-hospital emergency situations. Training includes classroom instruction as well as clinical rotations in the Elkhart General Emergency Department and in an emergency ambulance. After completion of this program you will be eligible to take the National Registry/Indiana State Written and Practical Exams. Beginning May 24, the EMT course meets four times a week and runs through July 2010. Classes are held at the Elkhart General Health Education Center located next to Lowe's on US 33 in Goshen. All inclusive course cost is $625 which includes textbook, workbook, and clinical supplies. Other payment options are available. The registration deadline is May 15.
