Please come to The Loft for a FREE T’ai Chi Demonstration on Thursday, Sept. 10th at 2pm.

T’ai Chi is both a physical fitness and health and wellness exercise with a spiritual nexus. Unlike most exercise routines that require physical exertion and may risk injury, T’ai Chi offers safe movements that yield the same results as moderate aerobics or a brisk walk.

This mind, body, spirit, meditative art offers many health benefits for anyone ages 5 to 90 years old. These benefits include strengthening and toning muscles, weight loss, balance, stability, coordination, concentration, patience, and calmness.

Other benefits of this art include reducing stress, improving cardiovascular function, strengthening the immune system, lowering blood pressure, improving lower back pain, decreasing stiffness in joints, relieving arthritis, reducing the pain of fibromyalgia, improving balance due to vertigo, increasing energy to combat chronic fatigue syndrome, building bone mass and connective tissue to maintain bone density, just to name a few.

Men & women, ages 18 & up are welcome.

You should consult your physician before participating. You should not eat one hour before class however, if you must eat, have a light meal. Wear loose comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Athletic shoes with flat soles are preferred. No street shoes and /or dress shoes.
