Preparation for Childbirth Class

Description

This class provides a detailed review of every aspect of the labor and delivery process, including recognizing signs and symptoms of labor, comfort measures for the mother, the supportive role of the coach, and relaxation and breathing techniques. You’ll learn about emergency and scheduled cesarean section, as well as the use of epidural anesthesia during childbirth. The series also includes information about care of the mother and baby after delivery.

A tour of the Special Beginnings Maternity Center is included.

Class meets once a week for 5 weeks.
