Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course

Looking for a fun and exciting program in the medical field?

If so, register for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course at Elkhart General. Emergency Medical Technician class teaches the concepts, information and skills needed to safely assess and treat patients in pre-hospital emergency situations. Training includes classroom instruction as well as clinical rotations in the Elkhart General Emergency Department and on an emergency ambulance. Upon successful completion of this program students are eligible to take the National Registry/Indiana State Written and Practical Exams.

Beginning February 7, the EMT course meets twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and runs through July 12, 2012. Classes are held at the Elkhart General Health Education Center located next to Lowe's on US 33 in Goshen.

Tuition is $600 which includes clinical supplies. Textbooks are purchased separately.

Students must have a high school diploma or GED, Hepatitis vaccination, MMR vaccination, Varicella immunity, Tetanus immunization within the past 10 years, recent Tuberculosis test, valid Healthcare Provider Level CPR card and be at least 18 years of age.
