The BTLS Course is designed to teach EMS professionals the skills necessary to quickly recognize mechanisms of injury, and evaluation, stabalize, package, and transport trauma victims. Conditions that cannot be stabilized in the field are identified, so those victims receive immediate transport. Proper use of standard equipment is provided so the students may become familiar with standards of care.
This program was designed for all phases of EMS and is very useful to physician, registered nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants insterested in trauma care. This is a two-day course.
All registration forms must be turned in two weeks prior to class start date. No late registrations or walk-ins will be accepted. For more information or to register, please call (574) 523-3127 or (574) 523-3291.
