Radiology

Radiology is an area where technological advancements are continuously being made every day. Our technologists have opportunities to expand their knowledge of all modalities through continuing educatino and on-the-job training.  Your possibilities are endless and your love of the field has the opportunity to grow!

Our hospital boasts some of the most advanced technology in the area, and the department of radiology is no exception.  EGH was the first hospital in the region to offer direct and computed radiography, cardiac MRI, MRI guided breast biopsy, and 16 slice and 64 slice CT scans to provide the most accurate images possible.  We were also the first to be totally digital in mammography. EGH has seven radiologists on staff and employs fifteen full time radiographers. We have multiple ultrasound rooms, portable x-ray machines, nuclear medicine rooms, and diagnostic rooms with the latest technology, allowing us to provide more care to a greater number of patients throughout the week.
