Dr. Weirick was the recipient of the American Heart
Association Research Grant, the Illinois State University Graduate
Research Grant and was named Outstanding Teaching Resident in Internal
Medicine in 2004 by the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Weirick's professional memberships and activities
include the Residency Curriculum Committee for the University of
Kentucky, Fellow-in-Training delegate to the American College of
Cardiology Quality Programs Subcommittee. Dr. Weirick has authored
multiple abstracts and articles regarding advanced treatment of heart
attack and management of complex coronary artery disease.
