Elkhart General Hospital Introduces CarePayment® Program for its Patients
ELKHART, Ind. –Dedicated to providing patients with more payment options and helping ease concerns about increasing out-of-pocket expenses, Elkhart General Hospital, a Beacon Health System Care Partner recently introduced CarePayment®, an innovative, patient friendly payment program available to its patients regardless of insurance coverage, credit history or employment. Patients who are current on their payments can add future medical expenses to their account.
According to Jeff Costello, CFO of Beacon Health System, “What we’re attempting to do for the average person who ends up in the hospital and incurs that unexpected bill is to allow an extended period of time to meet the financial obligation. We think it’s a great solution for the public, and it also meets the needs of the hospital as it continues to provide high quality care.”
Recently ranked by Healthgrades as #1 for Cardiac Surgery in the State of Indiana and one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery, Elkhart General’s interests extend beyond patients’ physical health to include their financial health as well. The CarePayment® program allows the hospital to continue to provide the renowned service to the community they are known for, in a way that is financially manageable for patients.
