Lung Cancer and Screenings: The Importance of Early Detection

ELKHART, IN. – Elkhart General Hospital Center for Cancer Services is hosting a health luncheon, Lung Cancer and Screenings: The Importance of Early Detection, on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Auditorium B located in the Hospital West Wing.

Detecting lung cancer early is critical for improving survival. Since there are few or no symptoms in the early stages of the disease, the majority of lunch cancers are diagnosed in the late stages. Join Toni Klatt-Ellis, APRN, ACON, Advanced Oncology Nurse Practitioner and manager of the Elkhart General Hospital Thoracic Oncology Clinic as she discusses the importance of early detection in the fight against lung cancer and what you can do to keep yourself healthy.

Program fee is $10 and includes a healthy lunch. Registration is required by September 10. To register visit www.egh.org or call 574-523-3303.
