Tuesday, October 01, 2013 - Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services Offering Pediatric Advance Life Support Recertification Class

Goshen, Ind. – Elkhart General Emergency Medical Services is offering a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Recertification Course from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 10 from at the Elkhart General Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd., next to the Lowe’s on US 33 in Goshen.

The PALS Recertification Course is a one-day course designed for the professional who has successfully completed the PALS course yet has a card that is due to expire, or has recently expired. Participants must be competent in managing the respiratory, shock and cardiac core cases with PALS algorithms. The course is intended for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, advanced level EMS providers, and any healthcare provider responsible for pediatric emergency care.

Course fees are $75 for affiliated providers and Beacon employees and $100 for non-Beacon affiliated providers. Registration fee does not include textbooks. Courses are open to the public.
