Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services Offering CPR Classes
Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services will offer Healthcare Provider CPR Courses from 8 a.m. – noon on the following days: Wednesday, March 12; Saturday, March 15; and Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Elkhart General Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd., Goshen.
The Healthcare Provider CPR Course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals but is also open to the public that are looking for a more in-depth CPR course. Students will be instructed on:
• Chain of survival
• Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest and stroke
• Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) in adults and children
• Utilization of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
• Utilization of a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM)
• Adult CPR
• Infant & Child CPR
No fee for Elkhart General Hospital employees, $50 for affiliated providers; $60 for non- affiliated providers. Registration fee includes course book. A course completion card will be given at the end of the class. For more information, call 574-875-6430. To register online, visit www.egh.org.
