Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services Offers Healthcare Provider CPR Recertification Courses
Goshen, Ind.– Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services is offering CPR Recertification Courses from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. or noon – 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Elkhart General Hospital Health Education Center, located at 2222 Rieth Blvd., next to Lowe’s on US 33 in Goshen.
The Healthcare Provider CPR Recertification Course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals, but is also open to anyone that is looking to update their certification. Topics and demonstrations that will be covered are:
• Chain of survival
• Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke
• Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) in adults and children
• Utilization of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
• Utilization of a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM)
• Adult CPR
• Infant & Child CPR
