Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services Offering Paramedic Program
Goshen, Ind. – Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services is offering a Paramedic Program with classes being held every Monday and Wednesday, beginning April 2, 2014 and continuing through August 2015. All classes will be held in the Elkhart General Health Education Center located on Reith Blvd, in Goshen.
The Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services Paramedic Program is the highest level of EMS education you can obtain. Working from a curriculum certified by the Indiana EMS Commission, or certified professional educators instruct advanced assessment and recognition skills, advanced life support, endotracheal intubation, defibrillators, interpretation of ECGs and advanced interventions. Our goal is to prepare you to manage clinical emergencies of the acutely ill and injured in pre-hospital settings. Completion of this program results in eligibility for the National Registry examination.
Students must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED equivalent and must be a current EMT-Basic, EMT-Basic Advanced, EMT Intermediate or eligible for certification in Indiana. Students also must hold a current AHA for Health Care Providers CPR or Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer Card.
