Meet Our Medical Staff
Lindsey Lira, M.D.
Dr. Lira’s undergraduate college career began at Campbell University in North Carolina. After two years, she transferred to Goshen College in Indiana where she graduated. As a Goshen College student, she spent a semester in Costa Rica and Nicaragua where she learned fluent Spanish.
Dr. Lira earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and completed her Family Medicine Residency at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend, Ind.
As a family medicine physician, she has a passion for preventative medicine and is very interested in the Patient Centered Medical Home approach to medicine. Dr. Lira joined the Elkhart General Hospital Medical Staff in 2013.
Scheduling an Appointment
Patients are seen by acute, same day scheduling and walk-in appointments. The receptionist is available daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist you. To schedule an appointment, please call 269-663-8288. We try our best to stay on schedule, however, emergencies sometimes arise. If we are seriously delayed, we will try to notify you prior to your appointment. Please help us stay on schedule by arriving on time for your appointment.
Canceling an Appointment
If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, or are running late, please call us at 269-663-8288 as soon as possible. This courtesy allows us to better serve our patients.
What to Bring to Your First Appointment
- Your insurance card
- Valid driver’s license or photo identification
- Physician referral forms (if required by insurance)
- Prescriptions or over-the-counter medications you currently take
- Pertinent information about your medical and surgical history
- Any recent X-rays or relevant medical records
Fees are determined by the time spent and vary with the severity and complexity of your medical problem. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have concerning fees.
Payment and/or co-payments are due at the time of your office visit. You may pay by cash, check or credit card and, if necessary, we can arrange a payment plan. For questions regarding your bill, please call our Central Billing Office at 574-389-0542.
If you have insurance we will gladly file your claim for you. Please be sure to have your current insurance card available. If we are a participating provider for your insurance, you will be responsible for your co-pay, deductible or percentage, at the time of your office visit. If we are not a participating provider, or you do not have insurance, payment is expected in full at the time of service.
