Community Health Needs Assessment

In 2011, Elkhart General Hospital, in collaboration with IU Health Goshen, commissioned Purdue University and HealthcareTAP to conduct an Elkhart County Community Health Needs Assessment. The study was conducted to identify the most important health issues in the county, using a scientific method to validate health indicators and to compare results. The assessment identifies priority health issues, which will be best addressed by health providers working collaboratively.

The Community Health Needs Assessment looks at health status, barriers to care, and other demographic and social issues affecting people and organizations throughout the county. The in-depth report will also help communities make decisions about the future of healthcare and prevention in Indiana by identifying problems in various regions.

We encourage all users to find valuable and relevant information in the reports.
